jagge-sAn elderly Floridian women called 911 on her cell phone to report that her car has been broken into.

Hysterical as she explains her situation to the dispatcher, she cries, ‘They’ve stolen the stereo, the steering wheel, the brake pedal and even the accelerator!’

The dispatcher said, ‘Stay calm. An officer is on the way.’

A few minutes later, the officer radios in. ‘Disregard,’ he says, ’she got in the back seat by mistake.’

A Baudy New Year to You!

Fun Stuff Comments Off

happy-dance-1colorI want to wish you one of the most awesome, fun, heart-saturated and outrageously profitable year possible!

Can you feel how the energy has shifted? Only three days ago it was like slogging through cold wet dirty snow about to freeze around all my cells. Today and yesterday I’ve been so energized I can hardly sit still.

If you want that and don’t have it yet, imagine my hand reaching to yours and giving you a whole big bunch of it! Take it and breathe it in – my love to you!

It’s not just a full moon right now, but a full BLUE moon (the name given to the second full moon appearing in a single month), and someone told me there will be an eclipse on top of it! No wonder the increase in energy!

I’m making a wild left turn this next year. It was such a profound experience to almost leave the planet last March, and to take all the rest of the year to recuperate and get my strength back fully, that I am radically changing directions come 2010. I haven’t quite got all the details lined up yet, but will let you know next week – I want you to come along with me!

So – see you next year! Have a delightful turn of the year – please stay safe and sound but do have a baudy time celebrating….

aloha -
Angela

KILIMANJARO SNOWS GO AWAY W/IN 20 YEARS?
The snows capping Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s tallest peak, are shrinking rapidly and could vanish altogether in 20 years, most likely due to global warming, a US study says. The ice sheet that capped Kilimanjaro in 1912 was 85 per cent smaller by 2007, and since 2000 the existing ice sheet has shrunk by 26 per cent, the paleoclimatologists said. Read more HERE.

HOW CAN ANYONE BE SO CLUELESS?
“Dude, Where’s My Car? In April 2009, Jeff Sabold, the owner of a luxury auto dealership in Texas, called 911 to report that he was “scared and lost” and had parked his 2000 Ferrari on unfamiliar train tracks after making a wrong turn. “Tell me what you saw on your way to nowhere,” the dispatcher suggests. “Railroad tracks and some woods,” Sabold helpfully replies. This meeting of minds was interrupted by Sabold’s offhand follow-up: “There’s a train coming, I’m going to get killed.” ” Watch this–I could hardly beieve my ears when he even said his name! THE COUNTERFEITERS
“The film tells the story of Sally Sorowitsch, a master counterfeiter who is imprisoned at the start of the war, and who curries favor in Auschwitz with his painting and drawing. Sorowitsch is rescued from Auschwitz and sent to run Operation Bernhard, amid captive bankers, artists and printers from Germany and Russia. Sorowitsch is a likable anti-hero, honorable but self-interested, the perfect pivot for the story to revolve around.

The Counterfeiters is an emotionally complex–and often horrifying–film about the prisoners’ dilemma (literally and figuratively). A superbly acted and scripted cast of characters play out their intense moral conundrums: supporting the Nazis by printing currency for them; saving their lives while outside their compounds others are dying; and other situations in which solidarity and self interest lock horns, with no easy answers….”

Wrong. Check this out. Grossness at its best: Burger King Gives Japan a Seven-Patty Challenge
By Coco Masters / Tokyo

“Burger King has not exactly lived up to its name in Japan.

It has only 15 stores nationwide, compared to McDonald’s roughly 3,750. But there’s no denying that Burger King now offers the biggest burger in town.

This month, the American fast food chain, in a oddball marketing tie-up with Microsoft, launched the Windows 7 Whopper, a 5-inch (12 cm) tower of meat stacked with seven beef patties and weighing nearly a kilogram — more if slathered with ketchup. The magnitude of meat has evidently….” Talk about pathetic market plays. Read more HERE.

In other words, the gestures you make with your face can—at least to some extent—influence your emotional state.

RUN BAREFOOT!
And how long have we put up with those fancy-ass high-top, squishy-soled, arch-supported, kitchen-sink-and wash-the-dishes, too sneakers? Ones that cost three arms, two legs and your first-born to buy–especially if they are for your kids? Here’s some surprising research….

Mr. McDougall makes the case that running isn’t inherently risky. Instead, he argues that the commercialization of urban marathons encourages overzealous training, while the promotion of high-tech shoes has led to poor running form and a rash of injuries.

THE BALLOON BOY–WHY WE BOUGHT IT, AND WHAT IT HAS TO DO WITH THE ECONOMY….
This is an amazingly brilliant article. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Here’s a tiny snippet (get the whole thing here):

“If Heene’s balloon was empty, so were the toxic financial instruments, inflated by the thin air of unsupported debt, that cratered the economy he inhabits. The press hyped both scams, and the public eagerly bought both. But between the bogus balloon and the banks’ bubble, there’s no contest as to which did the most damage to the country. The ultimate joke is that Heene, unlike the reckless gamblers at the top of Citigroup and A.I.G., may be the one with a serious shot at ending up behind bars.”

Angels in My Garden

Fun Stuff, Lovey Stuff 5 Comments

angel-peeking4hCORNINESS/SWEETNESS RATING: 10/10

This morning as I was thinking about something with which I was having a small problem, I clicked on today’s inspiremetoday.com’s interview with Sophy Burnham. She reminded me of my past encounters with angels.

In the interview, she says, “How can you learn to see them? You ask. You simply ask: ‘Show yourself,’ you say. ‘I want to see you. Let me know that you are there.’ “

I thought, OK, I’ll try that. I said it out loud. And I laughed out loud as I saw right away that I was expecting some kind of white-robed, human-shaped being to come into my view–pretty silly–I know that angels take many shapes.

It was slightly overcast this morning, the light mellow, muted. As I gazed at my garden outside my window after I asked the angel(s?) to appear to me,

New Chakra Discovered!

Fun Stuff, Self-Help Comments Off

red-balloons(HOOT RATING: 9/10)
Written by Tolemac on October 20th, 2009, sent to me by Erin Heaven (thanks, Erin!)

Scientists have found that all our problems can be placed under one heading: Seriousness.

Seriousness is the leading cause of everything from Cancer to Reincarnation.

Scientists have already discovered a new source of healing this condition. It is a psychic energy point located between the heart chakra and the throat chakra.

It is called the Clown Chakra.

If people are feeling miserable, if they have financial problems, if their relationship situation is the pits, if they are in ill health, if they have a need to sue people, if they find fault with their brother, then obviously, their Clown Chakra is closed.

Scientists have observed under a high-powered microscope that,

Flip Camera

VIDEO CAMERA RATING: 10/10

I love my Flip Camera!

I got it at Amazong on a deal where they were getting rid of colors people didn’t like, of all things! I got it for around 80 bucks. It normally is around 125, which is still well worth it. (There’s a link to get one on the right of this page if you want to check them out–easy!)

This little camera takes videos and you can make great stills from the videos.

It’s compatible with both Macs and PCs (yay! at last something easy to play with for my mac!); you can make videos for various applications, including youtube…and it’s so user friendly even I can work it!

All you do to hook it up to your computer is open that side flip USB and stick it right into your computer USB port–whether you have a laptop or desk model computer.

It’s too bad the little tripod doesn’t come along with the original product, but we can live with that!

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE FLIP CAMERA? Comments are open!

The download function is simple and easy, as are the editing modes. I highly recommend this little camera. I carry mine where ever I go! Here’s a shot of my neighbor’s tree, which is a still I plucked out of the video we were shooting there:
