Paul and Layne Cutright: to Honor the Spirit

Lovey Stuff No Comments

paul and layne cutrightI love Paul and Layne Cutright, Master Relationship coaches, and their work.

Here’s a quote from their newsletter:

“To honor the spirit is to accept the opportunity for your healing and personal evolution.

“When you choose to assume radical personal responsibility, knowing that you are responsible for the effect external circumstances have on you, you are taking a stand for the power of your spiritual nature to run the show.”

Heart Before Mind!

Lovey Stuff 1 Comment

heartHere’s an interesting note: “Carol Robertson M.D. from Vancouver, Canada described some research that suggests some far reaching influences of the HEART:

*”Some modern technology has allowed us to start measuring response times of the heart and response times of the mind.  If you flash up pictures – good, bad or indifferent – the heart will react six seconds **before** it appears.

The mind will react two seconds **after** it appears. **If we listen to our heart and use it as a cue, our mind can then have two seconds to react, so that there are four seconds where our mind can engage before the picture appears. It’s about what we listen to.**

Are we listening to that which perceives **before** the event? Can we move into perceiving **cause** rather than reacting to events?”*

Is this study accurate? There are likely levels of perception that science so far has been unable to measure or quantify (hence currently outside the realm of science)….

It’s science fiction come true -

A 10-ton fishing boat has been sunk by giant jellyfish off the coast of Japan.

KILIMANJARO SNOWS GO AWAY W/IN 20 YEARS?
The snows capping Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s tallest peak, are shrinking rapidly and could vanish altogether in 20 years, most likely due to global warming, a US study says. The ice sheet that capped Kilimanjaro in 1912 was 85 per cent smaller by 2007, and since 2000 the existing ice sheet has shrunk by 26 per cent, the paleoclimatologists said. Read more HERE.

HOW CAN ANYONE BE SO CLUELESS?
“Dude, Where’s My Car? In April 2009, Jeff Sabold, the owner of a luxury auto dealership in Texas, called 911 to report that he was “scared and lost” and had parked his 2000 Ferrari on unfamiliar train tracks after making a wrong turn. “Tell me what you saw on your way to nowhere,” the dispatcher suggests. “Railroad tracks and some woods,” Sabold helpfully replies. This meeting of minds was interrupted by Sabold’s offhand follow-up: “There’s a train coming, I’m going to get killed.” ” Watch this–I could hardly beieve my ears when he even said his name! ACCORDIAN? REALLY?

THE COUNTERFEITERS
“The film tells the story of Sally Sorowitsch, a master counterfeiter who is imprisoned at the start of the war, and who curries favor in Auschwitz with his painting and drawing. Sorowitsch is rescued from Auschwitz and sent to run Operation Bernhard, amid captive bankers, artists and printers from Germany and Russia. Sorowitsch is a likable anti-hero, honorable but self-interested, the perfect pivot for the story to revolve around.

The Counterfeiters is an emotionally complex–and often horrifying–film about the prisoners’ dilemma (literally and figuratively). A superbly acted and scripted cast of characters play out their intense moral conundrums: supporting the Nazis by printing currency for them; saving their lives while outside their compounds others are dying; and other situations in which solidarity and self interest lock horns, with no easy answers….”

Wrong. Check this out. Grossness at its best: Burger King Gives Japan a Seven-Patty Challenge
By Coco Masters / Tokyo

“Burger King has not exactly lived up to its name in Japan.

It has only 15 stores nationwide, compared to McDonald’s roughly 3,750. But there’s no denying that Burger King now offers the biggest burger in town.

This month, the American fast food chain, in a oddball marketing tie-up with Microsoft, launched the Windows 7 Whopper, a 5-inch (12 cm) tower of meat stacked with seven beef patties and weighing nearly a kilogram — more if slathered with ketchup. The magnitude of meat has evidently….” Talk about pathetic market plays. Read more HERE.

sm-shareRANT # II: “MY SCATTERED MONKEY MIND

Today I got a note from a friend who was saying how she felt scattered, and that her ‘monkey mind’ was all over the place.

In alignment with the above mindset, I said this to her:
“I suggest that you stop criticizing the parts of you that you don’t like or that people say are bad! Love your monkey mind!

Give it bananas! Bribe it to be quiet when you need quiet! it just wants you to love it. It’s smart, and will support you if you can give it a way to do so.

“The main thing to keep in mind is your value and your direction–what do you want people to remember you by; what unique-to-you thing can you leave as a legacy, and live it in your life?”

And here’s another thought: what if a scattered mind isn’t a ‘bad’ thing? What if your mind goes that way because you’re like an aggregator of thoughts, and they come into you and go out of you in just the right places–kind of like an oracle? Where is the strength in scattered thoughts that you could take empowerment from?

We’re so hard on ourselves. We have these nail-encrusted inner whips with which we torture ourselves. Sometimes we make ourselves feel guilty just for being alive!

Quit it! Invite yourself to be your own special inner friend–the one you dream about finding on the outside. Have great conversations and bitching sessions and laugh fests and Dream times; have inner high tea and glamorous dinners and exotic breakfasts. Discover inner hideaways and imaginings that make you feel rich and alive. Good grief, how long are we here for? 100 plus or minus years? It’s so short–why beat yourself up for 90% of it?

And of course, remember to tap – It works!

Can YOU Say, “I Adore You!” to Yourself–Truthfully?

Lovey Stuff, Rant, Self-Help No Comments

sm-loveRANT #1: I ADORE YOU!

Recently I found myself really arguing with myself about some of the stuff I was eating. I realized that it was as if I had a belief that ALL food was ‘bad’ for me, no matter what it was! How on earth did I get there, for goodness’ sake!?!

Well, that doesn’t even matter. I decided not to even tap on it, because I figure what we all need most is a simple load of love. So I thought I’d do an experiment just for fun: adore everything. And I do mean everything, too, from feeling groggy in the morning to the nasty dog next door to the man across the canal who yells ceaselessly at his kids. From my angel-filled garden to my artwork to my list to my books…and every last thing in between.

So each time I sit down to eat, I take an extra second to imagine that all 3 trillion of my body’s cells are opening just like lovely gardenias or lotus flowers, and pure, multi-colored white Light from Source is pouring into each cell, each flower, and drenching it with the feeling of deep love.

Then I say to my food, “I adore you! I’m going to adore each bite, too!” And I’ve been on a bliss trip for the few days since I started doing it! Give it a try–all anyone and anything wants is to be loved–so why not give it to them?!? It’s so much easier than resisting and fear and judging and withdrawing and feeling over-protective. It’s so much more sweet on your body than anger, frustration, resentment and blame.

Just say, “I adore you!” in your mind. It’s that simple. Even if you have previously detested whatever or whoever it is, try it anyway. They won’t know! No one but you knows! See how it feels–I believe you will find it to be a real eye-opener experiment.

And of course, remember to tap along with your experiment of saying “I adore!” It works!

aloha -
Angela

p.s. I love you, even if you don’t!

Angels in My Garden

Fun Stuff, Lovey Stuff 5 Comments

angel-peeking4hCORNINESS/SWEETNESS RATING: 10/10

This morning as I was thinking about something with which I was having a small problem, I clicked on today’s inspiremetoday.com’s interview with Sophy Burnham. She reminded me of my past encounters with angels.

In the interview, she says, “How can you learn to see them? You ask. You simply ask: ‘Show yourself,’ you say. ‘I want to see you. Let me know that you are there.’ “

I thought, OK, I’ll try that. I said it out loud. And I laughed out loud as I saw right away that I was expecting some kind of white-robed, human-shaped being to come into my view–pretty silly–I know that angels take many shapes.

It was slightly overcast this morning, the light mellow, muted. As I gazed at my garden outside my window after I asked the angel(s?) to appear to me,

Find Your True Love?

Lovey Stuff No Comments

heartI’ve been speaking with my friend, Stefan Gonick the Find The Love You Want Expert, recently.

He was telling me about his upcoming teleclass, Finding the Love You Want. (Impatient? Click HERE to get the teleclass now!)

________

Here’s what he has to say about it:
“On my recent Finding the Love You Want preview call, I worked with a wonderful volunteer named Mary. During the demonstration I asked Mary the following question:

“Imagine that you met a man who had everything that you were looking for and he was interested in you. How would you feel?

“She said that when she imagined meeting a man like that, she felt excited and very scared.

“Does her answer surprise you? Does it seem odd that she would feel very scared finding exactly what she was looking for?

“This is actually a very common experience for people when they really look inside. In fact, one of the scariest things that you can experience in life is being faced with what you most want.

“You may not even be fully aware of how scared you are, but your fear can have a big impact. It can cause you to hold back or even prevent you from taking action to get what you most want.

“Is this you? Is it possible that your subconscious fears of finding your ideal love partner are preventing you from doing all that you can to make your dream come true? Don’t let this happen to you.

“If you even think this is you, you owe it to yourself to turn that around! You deserve to have your ideal partner.

“Here’s what one participant in the preview call said:

‘I just signed up for the 6 week course because I was so moved by your recent free telecast (where Mary was the demo person). I have already gained many insights and had a flood of (useful) memories that I hope to work with as I embark on letting go of thoughts and beliefs that undermine my ability to find the love that I do want.’

If you’re ready to find the love of your life, I invite you to sign up for the 6-week Finding the Love You Want teleclass HERE!

He says it really is possible to have the life and love you dream about. I say check it out! Stefan knows his stuff!
